Tesco ‘Bags of Help’ Grant for Holt Copse Conservation Volunteers

Some very exciting news from Holt Copse Conservation Volunteers.  Well done to HCCV who applied for and have been awarded a grant from the recently launched Tesco’s ‘Bags of Help’ scheme.  Through this Tesco awards grants to local community groups from the 5p plastic bag charge it collects. Three community groups have been selected from our local area to go into a final eliminator.  However, they will each get a prize!  First, second and third places will be decided by means of a token in a slot run-off, similar to Waitrose’s instore scheme.  The group with the most tokens will be given £12,000, second place gets £10,000 and third £8,000.  So HCCV is guaranteed £8,000.  To help them get to first place please visit one of the stores listed here between 27th February and 6th March and put your token in the HCCV slot:

Caversham Express, Emmer Green Express, Greenwood Crowthorne Express, Reading Express at: Castle, Crown House, London Road, Market Place, Oxford Road, Whitley Street, Shinfield Express, Southcote Express, Twyford Village Express, Woodley Express, Reading Extra, Reading West Extra, Wokingham
