Wokingham Library entrance

Cleared ground March 2016 2 Wokingham’s Garden Share Group have been busy drawing up plans to brighten up the Denmark Street entrance to the library. There plans include a ‘river of knowledge’ planting scheme and some more colourful climbing plants.  Led by Alan Jeffries and Morag Malvern they recently supervised offenders serving community payback orders as old woody shrubs were removed.  Many thanks to Wokingham Borough Council which had previously cut back the overgrown buddleias and then arranged for the excavated shrubs to be taken away.

The circular tiled area in front of the doors has been cleared of weeds and the thistle growing in the guttering has been removed. Over the next several weeks new planting will be introduced.  We are hopeful of installing a free-standing planter for bedding plants by the entrance.  Please watch this space.  If you are interested in becoming more involved with Wokingham in Bloom please call the Town Hall on 0118 974 0886.
